


The Bomb Squad may be contacted through the dispatch centers of the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Collins Police Services, and the Loveland Police Department. They provide for the safe transportation and disposal of explosives, fireworks and ammunition, as well as support to area HazMat and SWAT teams. The squad responds to reports of actual and suspected explosive devices including suspicious bags, packages, and military ordinance. The Leon County Sheriff’s Bomb Squad is responsible for the safe disposal of explosives and improvised explosive devices. The Bomb Squad is available 24/7, 365 days a year to respond as required throughout the Northeast region of Colorado. Assignment to the Bomb Squad is in addition to a deputy's regular duties. The Squad consists of a Supervisor and deputies who have been certified by the FBI in hazardous device. This team consists of deputies who are Certified Bomb Technicians and. The other two participating agencies are Fort Collins Police Services and the Loveland Police Department.ĭeputies are assigned to the Bomb Squad for a minimum of five years and are trained by the FBI and the U.S. The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad is a mutual aid resource for the region that serves Santa Clara County and adjacent communities, having been called to respond to Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties. The mission of the Bomb Squad, is to maintain a highly trained team for the citizens of Onondaga County and surrounding counties, to raise public awareness regarding hazardous devices, and to provide departmental Hazardous Device and Bomb Threat training.
